PianoDisc Prodigy II
An advanced self-playing piano system
Prodigy II is the self-playing piano technology at the core of the PianoDisc system.
The Prodigy II player piano system is easy to use and even easier to enjoy. Experience live music at the touch of a button. Every purchase of a Prodigy II system includes a selection of 600 songs pre-installed in order to get you started. Further songs and artists are purchasable and downloadable via the Pianodisc music store.
Installable on almost any brand and model of acoustic piano from uprights to grands. Prodigy II converts your instrument into a sophisticated player piano. To put it simply, PianoDisc Prodigy II turns your acoustic piano into a modern version of the old-time pianola player piano. Your traditional instrument becomes a hybrid piano that can play itself.
Prodigy II Self-Playing Piano System
The enhanced processing power of the Prodigy II system delivers lifelike reproduction filled with emotion and feeling. The performances recorded from professional musicians are played on your hybrid piano in all their nuanced detail and splendour. Enjoy the magic of live performances of a broad range of pieces in your own music room.
Using proprietary and patented software and hardware, Prodigy II is able to utilise the complete dynamic spectrum of your piano. Electro-mechanical solenoids are installed beneath the piano’s keys and pedal that precisely control their movement, velocity and duration. With over 1024 levels of expression, you’ll hear all the subtlety and finesse that a real acoustic piano can offer.
Connect to your PianoDisc player piano with Bluetooth via the app on iPad and other compatible devices. Take control of all settings, functions and playback with a touch.
When fully installed, PianoDisc offers the ability to hide all the system components. There are no visible boxes or cables to interrupt the aesthetics of the piano itself.
PianoDisc optional addons
PianoDisc encompasses a variety of other components, each enhancing the useability and functionality of the overall hybrid piano system. As optional extensions to the Prodigy II self-playing piano functionality, PianoDisc also offers Pro Record professional digital recording, the Silent Piano addon and access to the music store.
